To participate in Imagination's Odyssey, players must have a Twitter account and an Ethereum wallet. It is also necessary for players to have their Twitter account verified on OpenSea in order to participate in the game. This role-playing game is led by a game master (GM) who sets the scene and describes a situation for players to engage with. Players then detail their actions on the Twitter feed, with the game progressing in rounds where players can explain their actions. Once a round is over, the next group of players continues the situation initiated in the previous round. In order to be selected for a round, players must own at least one NFT generated during that round.

The NFTs *(*Journey Stamps) are generated during each round of the game and are displayed on OpenSea, where players can bid on them to acquire them. The estimated price for these NFTs is around 0.08 ETH. The game master (GM) has the discretion to choose which bids to accept and may consider other factors beyond just the highest bid. Some Journey Stamps may also be given out at the GM's discretion.

It's important to note that the Journey Stamps in Imagination's Odyssey is more than just a means of progressing in the game. These non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are also beautiful, collectible AI-generated artworks that represent the game's universe and its various situations. The lore behind each stamp is also assisted by AI, adding to the immersive and rich world of the game. However, it's important to note that the stamps a player own do not impact the choices they make during a round. Instead, they simply serve as a token of access to the next round. Players are free to collect and trade these stamps as they see fit, but they do not directly affect gameplay mechanics.

Players have the opportunity to choose which character from the game they want to play as during each round. Before the round begins, players must specify which character they want to use on their first action tweet. If a player does not own the character they have chosen in their wallet or does not own any characters at the time of the game master's (GM) check, a character will be assigned by default. Each character has different attributes that can impact the story and the success or failure of certain tasks. This adds an element of strategy and customization to the game, as players can choose a character that aligns with their playstyle or the situation they find themselves in.
